My son just purchases a 6 wk old arctic fox. We have raised many exotic animals successfully but not a fox. I am a Biologist and knowledgeable about canids. I have rasied a wolf but not a fox. I beleive wolves, being more social hunters, are easier to adapt to a human "pack" environment than a fox. Suggestions?? - Peter Myles from California

about 2 months ago a young cat appeared in my yard and under the porch.my cat and it would fight so we closed the hole under the porch. i have always thrown scraps to the birds and other strays in area...she would eat them up even bread. then she started coming to the yard and would meow at me so i feed her scraps. then she would come closer each time and severeltimes a day she appears. so I finally pet her, then finally picked her up. my landlord said she would spay her if i caught her, now all of a sudden her belly is huge, about 10 days now and i guess her to be about 6 months old. she eats and eats and sometimes sleeps by the place she ate. 3 days ago she started coming on my porch and rubbing on me, so i gave her a blanket she sleeps on it and follows me around, comes when i call her. I noticed she is not as clean looking in the l area yesterday, so i gave her a box with blanket, but another homeless cat came up and took her food after fighting with her. today i went on line and checked out some info.So here i am....she is so young, making purri growling noises when pet, in and out of box very hungry and huge belly and sway back. very tired looking and looks swollen in the birthing area. i feel smallscratchy movement in her belly which is hard as bowling ball. she is now in the gargage with food and water and litter box and birth box. i don't want to keep her in there if she has weeks to go.but hope thet she will come and go as i make her feel safe. if she still has 2 weeks i would have her spayed with united paws ferel cat program. as i don't mind feeding her and letting her live outside. but don't want a kitten isssue, as my own cat is a exotic spotted bengal and i had her fixed at 6 months. any suggestions on how close she is? - MC from Pluto
